Our Approach
Some Emerald Arbor products and services use artificial intelligence to assist with customer interactions, personalization, content, search, recommendations, voice experiences, organization, summarization, or automation.
We believe AI should support useful human experiences without eliminating honesty or accountability.
Emerald Arbor remains responsible for the products and services it owns and operates.
Scope
This page applies to AI-assisted features included in products and services identified on our Covered Products & Services page.
Not every Emerald Arbor product or service uses AI.
How AI May Be Used
Depending on the product, AI may assist with:
- Voice or text interactions
- Personalized content
- Draft generation
- Search and recommendations
- Organization and summarization
- Classification or routing
- Customer support
- Workflow automation
- Other disclosed product features
AI Is a Tool
AI may support a product or interaction, but it does not become the owner, operator, or responsible party for the Emerald Arbor offering.
Emerald Arbor selects how AI-assisted features are incorporated and remains responsible for customer support and product administration.
Human Oversight
Where appropriate, AI-assisted output or interactions may be reviewed, edited, approved, monitored, or supplemented by people.
The amount and type of human oversight varies by product and may not occur before every output is delivered.
Limitations
AI-assisted output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, unexpected, or not unique.
Customers should use appropriate judgment and should not rely solely on AI output for important medical, legal, financial, safety, employment, eligibility, or similarly significant decisions.
Unless a product provides a specific legally compliant notice, Emerald Arbor does not use AI as the sole basis for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, healthcare access, or essential services.
The enforceable terms governing AI-assisted output are contained in our Terms of Use.
Personal Information
Information submitted to an AI-assisted feature may be processed by Emerald Arbor and independent AI or technology providers as necessary to provide the feature.
Whether a provider retains submitted information or uses it to improve its services depends on the provider, product configuration, contract, and applicable notice.
Emerald Arbor seeks to minimize unnecessary personal or sensitive information sent to AI providers and will not state that customer information is excluded from provider training unless the applicable configuration or agreement supports that statement.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and when it may be disclosed.
Voice and Communications
Some AI-assisted features may conduct voice interactions, gather information, provide requested responses, or assist with SMS enrollment.
SMS consent and the transactional records maintained for voice-based or AI-agent enrollment are explained in our SMS Terms & Consent.
Provider and Technology Changes
AI technology changes rapidly.
Emerald Arbor may update, replace, combine, limit, or discontinue AI providers, models, or features to improve quality, reliability, security, cost, or customer experience.
